Elisabeth von Trapp   In Concert

Elisabeth von Trapp, the granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, will be appearing in concert here at ODPC on Friday, January 31st, at 7:00pm.  Many of Elisabeth’s earliest memories were formed around baroque instruments and four part harmonies of her famous singing family. With the piano, cello, guitars, recorders and dulcimers, scattered around the living room, music was a part of life.

“Cold winter nights…I would sit on my bed in the dark, picking out a Joni Mitchell song on my guitar as the sounds of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto on the phonograph would float up the stairs from the living room below where my mother sat knitting.  Music has given me a place to be.”

Elisabeth has performed in many venues, from small folk clubs and concert halls to the White House, the National Cathedral and the Kennedy Center.  She has produced five albums and is internationally known.

Plan now to attend Elisabeth von Trapp’s first ever concert on the Grand Strand.  There is no charge for this concert; however an offering will be collected during the performance.
