Just what is this Ministry all about? Who is in charge of this Ministry? Is this something I might want to do? And oh, what do I need to do if I am interested in finding out more about this Ministry?
GREAT QUESTIONS AND THE ANSWERS ARE BELOW FOR YOU:
Mission Statement for Well Spring Ministry : Under the Body of Christ, nurture our congregation and community in mind, body and spirit through wholistic care during illness and health
Staff member, Kathy Bazzarre, R.N., Faith Community Nurse heads up this Ministry. Barbara Johns, R.N. is the Volunteer Care Coordinator.
Is God calling you to serve in a Ministry? Do you drive a car? Could you take a sister or brother in Christ to an appointment or bring them to Sunday worship? Could you run errands or grocery shop with them? You are just the person we are seeking!
Could you sit with a person who is confined to their home or can not be alone? What a blessing you will be to that caregiver so they can get a break for a few hours to refresh their spirit, keep their appointments, attend a support group meeting or be able to come to a church function.
Would you like to visit or call some of our members who live alone or are in a facility? Could you prepare a meal for someone who lives alone or has just come home from the hospital?
The first step is to call Kathy Bazzarre, R.N., FCN at 843-249-2312 or 843-450-3410 or Barbara Johns, R.N., 843-390-2750 to complete a Volunteer application. We ask you attend a training session at church. This training will equip you with details on the volunteer duties, a handbook and handouts on various topics. All these will help you no matter what your assignment will be.
Barbara and I can’t wait to meet you and have you join us as we serve our God through Well Spring Ministry.
In Christ’s service, Kathy B.
